Join us in celebration of the Summer Solstice as we honor the light of the Earth and light within you. Gift yourself the opportunity to slow down, awaken to and align in this seasonal shift.
The Summer Solstice is a time to celebrate the Earth and Sun with the fire element and heart. We cultivate and deepen our connection to the divine energies all around us. In living with gratitude and understanding that reciprocity and respect for all that is given to us is the way to live as if all life is ceremony.
On our longest day of the year we celebrate the Sun at its most powerful. We celebrate the abundance of crops in the fields, of how warm the earth feels and we spend more time in nature. The Summer Solstice offers qualities of Strength, Vitality, Radiance, Luminosity, Play, Creativity, Transformation, and Joy!
Join us for a unique, immersive, slow paced, mindful journey where we will settle into the natural landscape and awaken our senses. This Forest Bathing experience will take place while on your stand-up paddleboard or in your kayak.
Your investment will include being guided through a 3+ hour sensory experience where we will leave our stresses behind and connect with the abundance of the natural world. Monica who is a certified Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy will offer a series of carefully crafted gentle invitations designed to help you connect with the More-Than-Human World in your own authentic way. When Forest Bathing, you will be invited to move slowly, wander, pause, observe and reflect. The emphasis is on unplugging, calming the mind and engaging with the natural world. Physical and psychological benefits of Forest Bathing are astounding. Scientists have found that Forest Bathing can lower your heart rate and blood pressure, decrease stress levels, elevate your mood, increase working memory and even bolster your immune system.
Fill your lungs with refreshing forest air from the seat of your watercraft. Shinrin-yoku means, “Forest Bathing” and is the modern Japanese concept of refreshing and recharging by spending time in the forest. This tour combines Forest Bathing with paddling as we move through “The Jungle” of Lake Natoma. Quietly watch for wildlife, become immersed with the sounds and textures as you integrate body-full rhythm with the water while noticing the surrounding light.
***This is an easy paddle and beginners are welcome to attend.***
