“The mind is like water. When it’s turbulent, it’s difficult to see. When it’s calm, everything becomes clear.” – Prasad Mahes
About this event:
Join us for this unique experience of being guided in Forest Bathing at Lake Natoma while on your stand-up paddleboard or in your kayak. This will be a”three-hour tour” (Gilligan Island reference) and I promise you will make it back to land. You will be guided on a gentle, mindful paddle on Lake Natoma for 3 hours as we participate in Forest Bathing. Leave your stresses behind and connect with the abundance of the natural world. Your Forest Therapy Guide, Monica Mendoza will offer you a series of sensory-opening “invitations” designed to help you connect with the natural world in your own authentic way.
***This is an easy paddle and beginners are welcome to attend.***
This is an early event so we can appreciate the sunrise and have limited traffic on the water.

The paddle concludes with a traditional tea ceremony.
Forest bathing is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku – taking in the forest atmosphere. As a growing global wellness movement, it is backed by nearly 40 years of scientific research on the holistic benefits of immersing yourself in nature. These benefits include reduced stress and blood pressure, increased creativity and focus, improved mood and sleep, and a boost to immune functions.
Upon registration, participants will receive location details.
Parking: It is an additional $10.00 unless you have a State Park Pass.
****If you would like to participate and do not have a kayak / SUP feel free to message me. I have limited extras available and there would be an additional fee of $10.00 paid separately. ****
