Celebrate the Celtic festival of Beltane / Mid-Spring with forest bathing, honoring fire through light, the sun, and sound bath.
We will celebrate the peak of spring honoring the elements. In this 3 hour experience your Forest Therapy Guide and Sound Practitioner, Monica Mendoza will take you on a connection journey, bringing forth energy and holding space for the fire within you. With crafted invitations to connect with Mother Earth through Forest Bathing, we will also tie in elements of Beltane celebrations and finish the evening with a sound bath.
Guiding you through a series of mindful ‘invitations’ to connect with yourself and nature, we learn how the the More Than Human World supports our physical and emotional health, as we engage with the sights, sounds and smells through mindful movement, breathing and sound meditations; opening our awareness and culminating in a tea ceremony with a freshly brewed tea symbolic of Beltane.
Beltane is the cross-quarter festival marking the midway point between the spring equinox and the summer solstice. Beltane signifies the height of spring and the very beginning of summer. The name Beltane means “bright fire” and references the Celtic god of fire, Belanus. A symbol of warmth, light, increasing energy, and purification, fire is the chosen symbol of Beltane to honor the growing life, light, and warmth present in the natural world. Walk with us and be inspired by the sight of the world waking up around you and coming into bloom. During our walk together, we’ll take time to notice the wonders of nature and the light around us to help us enter this season with greater attention and intention. Bring an open heart.
The energy of Beltane is vibrant and fresh. In this session we align ourselves with the growth we see around us; the new buds emerging, birds singing… and explore what makes us feel truly alive? What energizes and inspires us?
Monica Mendoza is a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy guides and programs (ANFT) and certified Sound Practitioner. Monica’s passion is bringing people of all ages into a place of stillness, where connection with the natural world can be made from that deeper place.

- Yoga Mat for Sound Bath
- Optional – Sleeping Bag or Blanket and Pillow for Sound Bath – bring materials that can get dirty as the area is a grassland.
- Bring layers. Your body temperature can definitely cool down so be prepared with heavier layers
