Backpack to Coast Camp in Point Reyes National Seashore! (HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS)

If you have never been backpacking or you just love cool Instagram photos with awesome company, then this is the adventure for you!  With low mileage and low elevation gain, coupled with amazing scenery, this trip is sure to be a highlight of backpacking locations. Honestly you will want to come back year after year!

Since this trip is dedicated to high school girls there will be added components of social and emotional support skills. These skills are designed to increase positive connection, personal and collective strengths, and competence in teenage girls. The principles from these skills are to provide a safe and nurturing environment where girls can feel empowered and navigate challenges while making positive choices that will set them on the path to success.

This trip is intended for beginners, so we expect that you may not have everything you need for this first step in what we hope will be your next favorite hobby. We will get you geared up with all the backpacking necessities for a fun, safe and enjoyable two-night experience.

Our group will hike 2 miles into a premier backpacking location and set up camp at Coast Camp. We will enjoy the ocean air, sleep under the stars and will be just a stones throw from the beach.

The return hike back to the cars will be done in a loop based on where we originally started. The mileage on the way out is 3 miles.  The added extra mile will provide serene ocean views and additional views of the diverse ecosystems of Point Reyes.

Travel Plans and Logistics

Joining this trip will require a carpool plan. We can assist with this. The meet up time for departure from the Sacramento area will be 7:00 AM on Tuesday, April 12th. * Estimated return to Sacramento on Thursday 4/14/22 is 5:00 PM.

More information regarding meetup location and carpooling plans to follow upon registration.
